Yeah so, me and the hubby had a date night last Saturday. We usually like to hit the beach and have a few drinks at our favorite sea-side watering hole. But, instead, we chose to have a quite evening by enjoying a nice dinner out and catching a movie.
While I was very tempted to watch Johnny Depp’s new movie Public Enemies, we opted for Harry Potter instead. What can I say, I love Harry Potter.
I was disappointed. While the special effects were great, the storyline was “OK,” and the overall movie fell flat. First, it reminded me of Twighlight on Viagra. Seriously, what was up with all the teenage tongue-swapping and emo “crush” drama?
All the earlier Harry Potter movies have none of the garbage the Half Blooded Prince did, and they offered a more in-depth storyline. The earlier movies were fantastic for the whole family to enjoy and the producers did a great job translating the material over from book to big-screen.
Maybe they wanted to show the Harry Potter kids as “growing up” or something. Wanting to lose that “kid” appeal and show them in a new light. Well, it’s obvious they are not the same little kids, there really was no need to turn a great series of films into some sort of teenage love drama. I rank it as high as I ranked Twilight. 1 star out of 5.
Do yourself a favor, wait for the DVD to come out.

Ah well pooks, it was nice snuggling up with you in the theatre.
I didnt think is sucked but it was one of my least favorite.
I have to agree with you. The movie was a major disappointment.
